This policy explains what information is collected when you use pawnlychess.com ("Pawnly", "we"), a website run by JustThink Studio. Our Android apps have their own policies: Ludo is Ludo, Neon is Neon and Play & Learn.

Information we collect

Playing against the computer needs no account and sends nothing to us: the chess engine runs in your browser.

Online games

Online games use Google Firebase (Authentication and Realtime Database) to connect two players. Once connected, moves, emoji reactions and chat messages travel directly between the two browsers and are not stored by us.

• Guests: a temporary anonymous account is created so the game can be set up. When the game ends and you leave, the game record and that temporary account are deleted. We keep nothing about guests.
• Google sign-in: we keep only your online score (number of wins, draws and losses), linked to your account ID, so it can be shown when you sign in again. Your name and email are shown only to you; your opponent sees at most the first four letters of your first name.
• During a game the database briefly holds what is needed to connect the two browsers (an anonymous account ID, whether you are online, and technical network details). It is deleted when both players leave, or when the game expires.

To delete your Google account's score, contact us at the address below.

Your current game, game settings, sound preference and win/loss record are stored in your own browser using local storage. This data stays on your device. You can delete it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Like every website, our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested, time of request) for security and reliability.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to Pawnly and/or other sites on the Internet.

You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. To learn more, see how Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown, through Google's consent message.

Children

Pawnly is suitable for all ages, but it is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Because we do not store accounts, most data exists only in your browser. For anything else, contact us at mohamed.chouatt.droid@gmail.com.
